What we do.

At RoVing Resources, we provide leak detection services for Recreational Vehicles in the Greater St. Louis area. We perform the testing at a time and place of your choosing.  This allows you to enjoy the comfort of your own home while we complete our testing outside, and keeps you from having to transport your RV to a shop.  Whether you are a full timer or weekend fanatic, nothing kills a camping trip like finding a leak in your RV.  Our service gives you piece of mind that your leaks are taken care of.

How it works.

For leak testing, we use a machine called the Sealtech 430R.
The Sealtech 430R makes ingenious use of a very simple fact: air flowing through an opening covered with a soapy water ("surfactant") solution produces a bubble precisely at the opening.  The system draws outside air into the RV via the roof vent, where it is dispersed, creating a positive interior pressure.  This pressure difference causes air to flow outward through any outer skin faults.  The application of a soapy water solution to suspicious areas of the outer skin results in a very visible bubble exactly over each fault.

Since each RV design has different characteristics the Sealtech has an RPM controller to permit control of airflow and pressure.  This means we can generate enough air flow whether you have a 17 foot travel trailer or a 40 foot motorhome.   Because of the large surface areas involved, and the numerous routes for air to escape a typical RV, the Sealtech 430R is engineered and built to produce high air flow, but only to safe nominal pressures.

We show you the areas that are leaking so that you can fix them, or we can take care of the leaks for you.

Our Story.

RoVing Resources started out of necessity with our own RV.  A few years ago, my family was bitten by the camping bug.  We set out to start a new family past time in an RV.  We soon fell in love with Airstream trailers, and brought home a trailer from 1968.  Once home, I quickly discovered the trailer had rotted flooring throughout the interior from water leaks, and that the floor needed replacement.  Two months, and thousands of dollars later, we vowed never to deal with leak problems again. You shouldn't have to deal with it either.
